Super Eagles goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi believes Gernot Rohr has invited the best goalkeepers for Friday’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Liberia at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
Akpeyi is making a return to the squad after been missing a couple of games for the senior national team.
However, the Kaizer Chiefs number one goalkeeper speaking ahead of tomorrow’s game, stated that the Super Eagles have capable deputies to fill in the shoes if need arises against Liberia.
“It’s a great feeling for me I always appreciate the moments when I get called up. It’s a huge privilege not everyone gets to have this opportunity in their careers.
“So far, I’m always grateful any time I am called up I’m grateful to the Coaches and grateful to whoever made it possible for me to be here.
“Kudos to Rohr he actually has young goalkeepers,. But I think he has capable hands, who if given the chance they can do their jobs excellently well.”
