Nigerian youths under the auspices of the Youth Arise Movement, YAM, has called on Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, the President of African Development Bank, AFDB, to come back home and throw his hat into the ring of the 2023 presidential race, so as to salvage the country.

The convener of the Movement, Comrade Ademola Babatunde Abidemi, a former Presidential candidate, in a chat with Nigerian Pilot yesterday, maintained that Adesina has all it takes to deliver Nigeria from the economic and security crisis bedeviling the country.

He said it is no longer news that amongst those who will be contesting the presidential race under the APC platform is the President of African Development Bank Group,  Dr Akinwumi Adesina, and that having consulted with youth groups, Adesina stated his readiness to leave the current assignment for Nigeria’s number one seat.

Abidemi maintained that, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, will be the most prepared aspirant if he decide to heed the calls of Nigerians home and abroad by stepping into the race.

The Movement called on President Muhammadu Buhari to support Dr. Akinwumi Adesina and present him to the country , as this will show Nigerians that the President meant well for this country.

Abidemi urged Nigerians to take their mind away from all the propaganda of ethnicity,  religious affiliation in choosing the country’s next president, as supporting Akinwunmi Adesina will be the best decision in order to move the country forward.
