A Political think-tank, the PKK Political Credibility Group, on Wednesday said that the House of Representatives member representing Pankshin/Kanam/Kanke constituency of Plateau State, Hon Yusuf Babayo Adamu Gagdi deserves to be re-elected because of his giant strides in the socio-economic and infrastructural development of his constituency.

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Jos and sign by the Convener of the group, Gogop George.

According to the group, “Yusuf Babayo Adamu Gagdi is an asset to the people of PKK and should be supported by all to ensure that he wins his second term bid.

“He has been able to better the lives of the people of PKK and we believe that his return to the House of Representatives for the second term would bring more dividend of democracy to his people.

“With the experience, he has garnered so far he would be able to do more for the people of the area and the state if re-elected.”

The group also appealed to the Federal lawmaker to re-contest as they are solidly behind him.
“Yusuf Babayo Adamu Gagdi is the only one in PKK who can represent the interest of the youth and defeat any candidate of other parties.”

They further said Babayo is a man of performance and integrity and he would appeal to the electorate during the 2023 elections.

The group reiterated that Gagdi’s achievement in over two years as a federal lawmaker has brought development to his constituency.

“We commend our lawmaker for recently donating 20 vehicles to some of his constituents and security agencies in his constituency. The gesture was aimed at addressing the security challenges in the constituency and the state.

“Similarly, the lawmaker distributed 100 wheelchairs to Persons Living With Disabilities (PWDs) in the local government areas. This gesture is to ensure that all constituents benefitted from his development strides.

“Yusuf Gagdi has also tackled the problems of water scarcity in his constituency by carrying out massive drilling of boreholes as well as renovation of structures that are beneficial to his people.

“Gagdi has portrayed himself as one of the most remarkable leader in Plateau state.

“The achievements of Hon Yusuf Babayo Adamu Gagdi have shown that there is no vacancy in the zone come 2023.

“His good works are there for all to see, he has stood out so tall.”

While commending Gagdi for “striving to attract projects and development to his zone,” the group urged the electorate to support him for a second term as their Federal legislator, noting that “a return of Gagdi to the Federal House would consolidate on gains made so far.”
