The team’s goalkeeper, Ali Ahmanda tested negative after a series of tests today ( Monday, January 24th, 2022). According to a spokesman from the Confederation of African Football ( CAF), any player that tests positive for the virus must be in isolation for five days before taking another PCR test 48 hours before the game. This means midfielder, Yacine Bourhane and Ahmanda will not be allowed into the stadium for the game against Cameroon.

The Comoros Football Federation on Saturday confirmed that Ahmanda was among several player that testes positive for the virus following the recent outbreak in the team’s camp.
