Spanish giants, Atletico Madrid are the latest suitors of Nigeria’s and Genk striker Paul Onuachu.
According to Spanish sports daily Marca, Atlético Madrid had already sent their agent to Belgium to discuss with Genk officials on the possibility of hiring the Nigerian.
It was gathered that Atletico Madrid’s sporting director Andrea Berta had made contact with Racing Genk over the signing of Onuachu as from the winter transfer market.
The Colchoneros are in the market for a center forward to provide competition for Luis Suárez and have Onuachu on their radar.
Atlético Madrid have reportedly scouted the Nigerian several times with a view to making a bid for his services.
If Onuachu is signed, he would not count as a non-European Union player because of the Cotonou Agreement.
