Coalition for True Democracy (CTD), has joined notable Nigerians to hail President Muhammadu Buhari over the choice of Abdullahi Bala as the new Executive Secretary for the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF).

The National Coordinator Samuel Okolo told journalists on Wednesday, that, “We are now convinced that President Buhari is serious about repositioning the Nigerian Police Force by bringing a competent person to head NPTF.

He pointed out that, “many Nigerians, especially men and officers of the Nigerian Police Force have expressed delight over the appointment of Abdullahi Bala as the new Executive Secretary for NPTF

Okolo described Mr. Bala as, “A man of proven integrity whose record earned him to get this appointment. As a patriot, I call on Nigerians to also support him.

“We are optimistic that the new ES will restore the lost glory of NPTF by ensuring that it integrity will soon be appreciated by the people.”

He however, urged the new ES to remain patriotic and holistic while carrying out his assignment, warning that any attempt by him to compromise, may spell doom to his hard-earned integrity.

Okolo further sated, “The new ES has been a man of integrity who we are proud of. We remain optimistic that he will not let Nigeria and Nigerians down.”
