Bandits have abducted a former director of Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) Alhaji Ahmed Abdulkadir, and his 15-year-old daughter, Laila.  It was gathered that the bandits who wielded AK-48 rifles raided Bakori Housing Units in Bakori Local Government Area of the state around 9pm on Monday, September 6, kidnapped father and daughter from their home.  According to Daily Trust, the bandits also abducted three other persons identified as Alhaji Bello Aminu Bakori, Shamsuddeen Aminu and one Habibu Rabe of Local Education Authority, Bakori.  However, about an hour after the abduction, vigilantes in the area mobilised and went after them. The local guards reportedly caught up with the armed men in Danja Local Government Area and after an exchange of gunfire, three victims were said to have regained freedom. However, Abdulkadir and his daughter are said to still be in captivity.  The post Bandits abduct retired NBC director and his 15-year-old daughter in Katsina appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
