Nigeria’s Super Eagles defeated homers Nigeria’s Super Eagles beat Cape Verde in W/Cup qualifier 2-1 in a 2022 World Cup qualifier Group C clash in Mindelo on Tuesday.

Cape Verde netted the opener in the 19th minute but Victor Osimhen  capitalized on a defensive error in the 28th minute as the first half ended 1-1.

However, with less than 15 minutes, the home side conceded courtesy of an own goal.

Despite late pressure from Cape Verde, the Eagles held their own to claim an important away win to make it two win in a row in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
