Lille’s Cameroonian defensive midfielder Junior Onana has joined Bordeaux on a five-year deal, the two French clubs announced on Monday.

Onana, 21, made his international debut in October and spent last season on loan at Belgian outfit Mouscron, when they were still in the first division.

Elsewhere on the eve of the end of the transfer window, Rennes’ former France under-20s centre-back Gerzino Nyamsi has agreed a five-year deal with Strasbourg.
