The Nations flag bearers in CAF Confederation Cup struggles Enyimba and Rivers United will have to overcome Al Ittihad of Libya and Al Masry of Egypt respectively if they stand a chance of getting into the main stream of the competition this season.

Draw for the second round preliminary round of the competition made on Tuesday in Cairo, Egypt, pitched two the Peoples Elephant against Al Ittihad while Garden City boys Rivers United were draw against Al Masry of Egypt.

The second prelims as it is dubbed by die-hard followers of the continental championship will see 16 teams who qualified from the CAF Confederation cup second preliminary round, facing the losing 16 teams from the CAF Champions league second round preliminary round. Tuesday’s draw was conducted by CAF Head of Competitions

Matches of the second prelims will be played between November 28 and December 5. Enyimba will be away in the first leg while Rivers United will host Al Masry in the first leg with the return leg billed for December.
