Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of Manchester City’s defender Joao Cancelo on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The announcement was made on the official website of the Bavarians on Tuesday, January 31st, 2023. According to reports from Germany, there is a buy clause option of £70 million in the deal should Bayern be interested in keeping the player permanently.
He expressed his delight at his move from the Premier League to the Bundesliga.

The 28-year-old started his professional career at Benfica. He had spells at Valencia, Inter Milan, and Juventus before joining Manchester City in 2019, where he’s made 154 competitive appearances and scored nine goals.
