Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is being linked with the Switzerland job.
Out of management since leaving Arsenal in 2018, Wenger has been mentioned for the Swiss position after it was vacated this week by Vladmir Petkovic.
Wenger could take charge with a World Cup qualifying campaign ahead of Switzerland.
He previously was offered the post when coaching in Japan by Nagoya Grampus Eight, but was blocked by his club from taking the job.
Wenger currently works on the technical committee of FIFA.
