A speakeasy hidden behind a photo booth is today’s victim of Bangkok’s unending bar lockdown.
Three years serving cocktails from its secret location have come to an end for Soi Sukhumvit 11’s Find the Photo Booth. When it opened amid a glut of novelty “hidden” bars, its location was packed day and night with travelers from abroad.
“We had an amazing first year and had many programs lined up for the second year but Covid hit us like everyone else,” the crew announced. “We have tried but in the end, we have to give up.”
Popular for its creativity on both sides of the bar, Find the Photo Booth hopes this doesn’t mean goodbye forever, as the team is looking for a new location to “relaunch” at in the future.
