The Nigerian Generation Z have sent a statement of their ability to dominate the scene as Mavin Records “Won Da Mo” and Ruger’s “Asiwaju” top the music charts in the country.
Mavin Record’s “Won Da Mo” which features Rema, Crayon, Magixx, Bayanni, Boy Spyce, LadiPoe, Ayra Starr and Johnny Drille currently sits on the number one spot on Apple Music’s Top 100 Nigeria Charts while Ruger’s “Asiwaju” comes right after. This make it evident that the future of Nigerian music scene is in good hands with the younger acts who fall within the Gen Z demographic.
“Won Da Mo” is the Mavin Record lead single off their forthcoming Mavin All Star album which will feature current acts of the record label. It was released on the 9th of November while Ruger’s, “Asiwaju” on the 14th of November together with his “Red Flags”.
However currently on the Spotify Charts, the Mavin Record hold the number 2 spot on the Top 50 Nigeria, coming after Wizkid’s Ayra Starr’s featured “2 Sugar” giving the featured act her fourth number one song in the country.
