…hail “gallant” Nigerian soldiers

Global Peace Movement International, UK has describe the Nigerian Army as one of the best in the sub-Saharan Africa and also respected in the international communities.

President General of the group, Dr. Mike Uyi stated this while responding to the positive statement credited to MP Peckham and Camberwell for his great respect for the Nigerian Army on Wednesday in London.

Uyi noted that contrary to the believe that Nigerian Army cannot decimate insecurity in the country, people in the diaspora are aknowging that the Army is capable of ending all forms of insecurity in the country.

According to the MP in charge of Security of Nigeria through the commonwealth office expressed full confidence that the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Faruk Yahaya is capable of dealing with the Nigeria insurgency.

According to the MP, the courage and discipline in Gen. Faruk as a full professional Soldier with the right support can end all forms of insecurity in Nigeria.

“The Nigerian Army can compete in all form of professionalism with any soldier from any country of the world because of its correct leadership.

“The Army under the leadership of Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya has under gone and is still under going reforms to enable it stand out in Africa and also robe shoulders with other developing countries.

“We can see that foreign governments believe that Nigerian Army is capable of eliminating all criminal activities without fear or favour”.

“All we need to do is to support the Nigerian Army in discharging their constitutional duties of protecting our territorial integrity”.

“GPMI want to reaffirm its support for Nigerian Army in their ongoing war against insurgency in the country, describing their efforts as “gallant and heroic“.

“They are the pillars of Nigeria’s unity.” He described the Nigerian Army among “the best in Africa”. He call on troops to continue to do their best to ensure peace and security nationwide.
