A woman from Shah Alam is looking for her pet parrot.

The parrot, named Neo, escaped from Seksyen 7 Shah Alam at around 7pm on Friday through an open window. Owner Reina Lum, 31, who had been caring for the five-month-old parrot since January, has been desperately looking for her pet, even going on TikTok to appeal for help.

“We’re heartbroken and lost without him,” she said in the video titled Please help me find my baby, which has since garnered nearly 600 reactions. The video has also been circulated to Twitter.

The parrot has blue feathers covering its head and vivid green ones on his body. It also has feathers in a reddish hue on the chest and tail.

Lum told Coconuts today that she has yet to find the parrot, which could be hanging around the Puncak 7 Residences housing area, according to a member of the public, she said.

“I’ll drop by tonight and definitely tomorrow,” she said.

In the video, Lum described Neo as a “tame” parrot that loved humans. She is also offering a RM2,000 (US$480) reward to anyone who can find and return Neo.
