Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has warned Manchester United rivals that he is in Premier League to help his club win outstanding laurels.

Ronaldo said that he has not finished smashing records just yet after becoming the highest-scoring international men’s player of all time.

Manchester United’s new signing scored his 110th and 111th goals for Portugal to help his country come from behind to beat the Republic of Ireland on Wednesday.

United have paid Juventus around £20million to re-sign Ronaldo, who spent six years at the club after joining from Sporting Lisbon in 2003.

He won three Premier League titles, a Champions League and the first of his five Ballon d’Ors under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Ronaldo has now told rivals that his international feat is not the final record he will break, ahead of his return to the Premier League.

“I can’t even start to express myself in words! I’m thrilled with an overwhelming sensation! Let’s go, Portugal! Let’s go!” Ronaldo, who is expected to make his second
debut for the club against Newcastle on September 11, wrote on Instagram.

“From all the records that I have broken during my career – and fortunately there have been a few – this one is very special for me and it’s certainly on the shelf of
the achievements that make me truly proud.

“First of all, because every time I represent my country is a special moment, for knowing that I’m defending Portugal and showing to the world what Portuguese people are made of.

“Secondly, because national teams competitions have always had a very strong impact in me as I was growing up, watching my idols playing for their flags every other summer in Euros and in World Cups.
