Kalu Shines As Rennes Hold Bordeaux In Ligue 1 winger, Samuel Kalu came on as a second half substitution as Bordeaux secured a vital 1-1 draw against Stades Rennes in Sunday’s Ligue 1 clash.

The Nigerian international, who was making his fifth appearance for Bordeaux, replaced Otavio in the 67th minute and made a positive impact in the game.

The visitors took the lead in the 55th minute through a brilliant finish from Gaetan Laborde. However, Bordeaux levelled scores in the 88th minutes through Mexer to send the home fans into frenzy.

They almost took the lead few minutes later after Ui-Jo Hwang’s low drive shot failed to find the back of the net.

The draw move Bordeaux to 16th on the league table on seven points while Rennes sit 11th on nine points.
