Maccabi Tel-Aviv beat Armenians Alashkert 4-1 as fellow Israeli side Maccabi Haifa drew 0-0 with Dutch outfit Feyenoord in the opening games of the new Europa Conference League.

Croatian forward Stipe Perica scored the first goal of the third-tier competition as he put Tel-Aviv into the lead after 13 minutes.
