Paul Pogba can count on the support of his Manchester United teammates, despite him talking openly about leaving.
The Manchester Evening News says Pogba’s popularity at United has not waned amid his open interest in a move to Real and the players still believe he is the best player at the club.
Senior United sources say Pogba is ‘highly regarded’ by players and staff but his agent Mino Raiola admitted he was ‘sorry’ he failed to move Pogba to Real Madrid last year.
There is an acceptance among the United hierarchy that Raiola is especially influential in Pogba’s decision-making.
Pogba has technically entered the final year of his United deal but the club has the option of an additional year that is expected to be triggered in the coming months.
