Over three million people have received their first COVID jab in Bali as of Monday, as the province appears to be well on its way to meet its target of fully vaccinating 70 percent of its population.
According to data published by the Bali Health Agency, 3,073,181 people have had their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as of Aug. 2, while 902,143 have received both doses.
The provincial government has thus achieved the first phase of its vaccination target, and is about 30 percent through on its second phase.
Bali has had among the highest number of people vaccinated since Indonesia’s national vax program was launched earlier this year. The province is ranked second nationwide — just behind the capital Jakarta — according to July 29 data from the Health Ministry.
