Also speaking at the event, National President of ATWAP, Clementina Chinwe Ativie, passionately called on government to intervene on the over lapping functions of all supervising agencies for producers of water as they have become over bearing with their demands for bribe, also while other producers hide for fear of not to be check mated but for only NAFDAC who has not rested in her oars to regulate their activities. However they have decided to look inwards by checkmating themselves, observing self monitoring and regulations in other to flush out quacks and illegal producers in the industry, she added.
She explained that the reason behind the sudden increase in the price of both water and pure in the country  is as a result of the increase in the prices of production materials in the market which has skyrocket everywhere leaving them with no choice but to increase the price so as to meet up with cost of production.
She emphasized that ATWAP is the only recognized and structured body for table water producers hence government must continue to use the body to clap down on those companies who are not doing the right thing so that the lives of the citizenry will not be jeopardized.
She informed that ATWAP members are well over sixteen thousand producers nationwide and they have in a way contributes to employment in the country hence there should be tax waiver and other forms of encouragement that will allow them continue serving Nigerians better.
