Top French sports publication, L’Equipe has reported that Lille only received about 36 Million Euros for Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Napoli last year.

This is against the reported transfer fee of 71.3 Million Euros plus another 10 Million Euros in various bonuses and add-ons that will make Osimhen the most expensive African player.

L’Equipe pored over the books of Lille and came to the conclusion that the French Ligue 1 club only received 36 Million Euros.

The newspaper that fees concerning a veteran goalkeeper and three Napoli youth team players were inflated.

The newspaper reported that some of the bonuses – for example Napoli qualifying for the UEFA Champions League – simply were not activated this season because they did not happen.
