While analysts and fans alike have been tipping the match against Pharaohs of Egypt as the expected toughest game for the Super Eagles, the team’s coach Gernot Rohr has said none of the opponents will be a tea party.

Rohr who led the Eagles to a third place finish at the last nations cup in Egypt cited the Sudanese side otherwise called  the Falcons of Jediane as another opponent that should not be treated with kid gloves.  Coach of the side according to him has not only been tested but is a coach he knows personally and his ability to deliver.

“Sudan is trained by a French technician [Hubert Velud] whom I know well. He did a great job. So all the matches will be difficult,” he told Cafonline.

He howevever agreed that opening the group stage with a clash against Egypt will be a handful.

Host of the last nations Cup Egypt were sent packing in the round of 16 while Nigeria progressed and ended up in the third place with Algeria clinching the title after beating Senegal by a lone goal.

Since the draw which pitched Nigeria against Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau most fans asked to access the group by Sportinglife.ng  cited the tie against Egypt as the major decider, while expecting Eagles to have a jolly ride against the two remaining opponents, a submission which Rohr differs from insisting that every team that qualified for the Nations cup came with intent to win and as such likely to  fight to  the finish.
