Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev Yakubu Pam has said the recently introduced Pilgrimage to Jordan would help to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

Pam disclosed this in Amman, Jordan, recently while addressing the first batch of Pilgrims who arrived in the Kingdom of Jordan today to begin their Pilgrimage exercise.

He urged Nigerian Pilgrims to demonstrate the virtues of our Lord Jesus Christ while in the Holy Land.

“While we are on Pilgrimage, we should show who Christ is in our conduct,” he advised them.

The NCPC boss also advised Pilgrims to shun any act that would embarrass the host country.

He commended the Jordanian government for the Presidential reception accorded the Nigerian delegation on arrival at the Queen Alia International Airport, Amman, Jordan.

He enjoined the Pilgrims to see their Pilgrimage to Jordan as a revival that would turn their spiritual life around. He admonished them to use the platform provided by the Pilgrimage to pray fervently.

“Considering the importance the Commission attaches to prayer, it had reduced the number of daily visit to the Holy sites in order to give room for the Pilgrims to pray for themselves and for Nigeria,” he said.

He urged them to cooperate with the Pilgrimage leaders to ensure a hitch free Pilgrimage exercise.

Nigerian Pilot gathered that  the first batch of Nigerian Pilgrims who arrived Jordan  were led by the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, His Eminence, Samson Ayokunle, accompanied by other Clerics such as His Grace, Bishop John Praise, the Chaplain Aso Villa Chapel, Pastor Seyi Malomo, amongst others .
