Former Arsenal attacking midfielder, Mesut Ozil, netted his first goal in 18 months.

The German playmaker has not enjoyed the best of time in his career over the past few years.

However, Ozil found the scoresheet for his boyhood club Fenerbahce in a Super Lig clash at Demirspor this weekend.

Ozil got the only goal of the game to seal all three points for Fener away from home.

It was Ozil’s first strike since he last scored for Arsenal against Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium in a 4-0 win in February 2020.
