West Ham United have seen an offer for defender Nayef Aguerd rejected, per Football Insider.
The Hammers are eager to sign the centre-back this summer, but his club Rennes are not prepared to sell him for a modest fee.
West Ham have reportedly put in a £17 million offer for Aguerd, but that is not deemed enough by the French side.
The Morocco international, who is 25, is highly rated by the London club’s manager David Moyes.
However, the Hammers do not wish to break the bank for Augerd, which may put talks with Rennes at an impasse.
