Real Madrid were left stunned on Thursday morning when it emerged that the club’s official store embedded within their stadium had been robbed in the early hours.

The robbery took place at around 6:00AM CEST, with a group of thieves said to have driven a vehicle into the façade of the establishment.

A person called 091 alerting the authorities to the disturbance, with the thieves taking all the official merchandise they could, filling three vehicles with shirts, clothing and other club-branded products.

The National Police are now investigating the crime, viewing security camera footage and trying to track the vehicles by their number plates.

The initial hypothesis of the authorities is that all three cars had been stolen, which is one way the perpetrators can delay being detected.
