Southampton’s Nathan Tella believes they have what it takes to get three points against Everton in the Premier League this weekend.
Tella knows that competition for places will be intense at the St. Mary’s Stadium club this season, given the arrivals of on-loan Chelsea star Armando Broja and ex-Blackburn Rovers striker Adam Armstrong.
As they prepare to take on the Toffees, Tella thinks their positive preseason will stand them in good stead.
He told the Daily Echo: “No, I think we all approach the game the same way we approach every game, and that’s we want to win every game.
“It’s good that were starting off with a good test because it will show how good a pre-season we’ve had. All the boys feel good, we are all going into the game with confidence.
“We’ve had very good results and performances in pre-season. And now we just have to take that into the first game of the season.”
