Troost-Ekong Gets Very Good Rating In Watford Draw Vs Bournemouth

William Troost-Ekong was in action for Watford but could not prevent them from losing 1-0 at home to Southampton, in Saturday’s Premier League tie.

Troost-Ekong played for 90 minutes while his Nigerian teammate Emmanuel Dennis did not feature due to suspension.

Che Adams was the hero for the Saints as his 20th minute strike proved to be the winner.

At Turf Moor, Frank Onyeka played for 58 minutes as Brentford lost 3-1 to Burnley.

Brentford have now lost their last three Premier League games.

At the Etihad, Manchester City suffered a 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.

It is now back-back defeats for City, who were eliminated in the Carabao Cup in midweek.

Michael Olise, who came in the 85th minute, set up Conor Gallagher for Palace’s second goal on 88 minutes.

Wilfred Zaha has given Patrick Vieira’s side the lead just six minutes into the game.

City were reduced to 10 men in first half added time after Aymeric Laporte was shown a red card for a foul on Zaha.

And in other results, Liverpool threw away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Brighton while Chelsea hammered Newcastle United 3-0 away.

Chelsea are now on 25 points and are three points ahead of Liverpool in the league table.
