Troost-Ekong Thrilled To Captain Watford Against Wolves

William Troost-Ekong says it was an honour to captain Premier League club Watford in Saturday’s Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers, reports Completesports.com.

The Nigeria international, who only joined the Hornets from Serie A club Udinese last summer was surprisingly handed the armband in the 2-0 defeat at Vicarage Road.

Despite the disappointing the result, Troost-Ekong took to the social media to show his appreciation.

”Absolute honour to lead the boys out for the first time over the weekend. Will always do my best for the team,”he tweeted

Watford have won just one of their four Premier League game this season.

Xisco Munoz’s side will return to action on September 18 with an away game against Norwich City at Carrow Road.
