Fury & Wilder 3

Boxing is well known for its intense rivalries. Over the years, it has thrived on these rivalries. Some of the best include Ali and Frazier, Morales and Barrera, and Marquez and Pacquiao. During these battles, the men put it all on the line in hopes of proving they were the better man. These rivalries helped create some of the best boxing matches in history. Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder have already battled twice. The first bout was controversial since it ended with a decision that many fans did not agree with. Many agree that Fury took the lead until he was knocked down in the 12th round. Nevertheless, Fury climbed to the canvas. Wilder’s team thought the bout was over at this point. The bout ended with a controversial draw. During the second bout, Fury weighed 273 pounds. He admitted to gaining weight so he could knock out his opponent. He wasted no time since he floored Wilder early in the fight.

Nevertheless, Deontay got up and continued fighting. Fury would be too much for his opponent. Fury dominated Wilder from bell to bell until the fight was stopped in the 7th round. Wilder’s corner had to throw in the towel to protect its fighter. Since then, Fury has been trying to set up a British showdown against Anthony Joshua. However, that isn’t going to happen. In May 2021, an arbitration judge rules that Fury would need to honor his contractual clause and give Wilder a third fight. The build-up to the fight has been spectacular with a lot of trash-talking from both sides. The bout will take place this weekend. It is a must for any fan of the sport.

During the main event, light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz will take on aging brawler Glover Teixeira. Although both men are older, they’ve only gotten better with age. Glover has won five fights with wins over Anthony Smith, Thiago Santos, and Karl Roberson.

He will have his hands full with the light heavyweight champion. Jan is also on a five-fight win streak, but he has faced thought competition. Surprisingly, he lost to Thiago Santos before beating Luke Rockhold, Ronaldo Souza, Corey Anderson, Dominick Reyes, and Israel Adesanya.
